BY TAXIS/UBER & PRIVATE TRANSFERS

Thankfully, all taxis serving the Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino airport have a fixed fare for all travelers looking to reach the city center.
Although this is still one of the most expensive options on the list, it’s also very easy and it could, in fact, be very affordable for larger groups.

If you’re visiting with a family of at least four, you may find that a taxi is even cheaper than the Leonardo Express!

  • Ticket Price: 30-50 euros
  • Availability: Daily at almost any time
  • Duration: 30-45 minutes on average

The Rome airport taxis are typically rated 2 ½ stars out of 5.

While several travelers report a positive experience with these taxis, others have indicated that some drivers aren’t very trustworthy.

FROM CIAMPINO AIRPORT:

The Airport Ciampino (CIA) is the airport of Rome that is mainly used by budget airlines. As Ciampino is a smaller airport, you have the choice of two options to get from Ciampino Airport to the center of Rome, namely by bus transfer or by taxi:

BY BUS

By far the cheapest option is a bus transfer. This shuttle bus leaves from Ciampino Airport to Termini station in the center of Rome (from this train station you can easily connect to both metro lines. The journey takes 40 minutes and buses run 13 times a day. The price is from € 7 one way.

Attention: It is recommended to book a bus ticket in advance for your arrival time. In the high season there may be no more room for you on the bus. You can easily buy your tickets in advance so you won’t be delayed at the airport.
After you can catch metro B for 5 stops and get off at Garbatella station and then you can walk for about 5 mins to get to casa Vivaldi.

BY TAXI

taxi from Ciampino Airport to the center of Rome takes approximately 25 minutes to travel the 16 kilometers and costs approximately € 35. The price will be more expensive if you use the taxi in the evening or if you have a lot of suitcases to transport. To get to Casa Vivaldi is more or less the same.

FROM TERMINI STATION:

BY METRO

From Termini station there is the metro B (blue line). Take Laurentina direction and get off at Garbatella station (only 5 stops)
